The ACS reports that last year there were over 1,000,000 incidents of theft from shops in the UK. 79% of retailers believe the cost of living crisis has lead to an increase in theft, although a reported 63% of thieves are repeat offenders.
Meat, alcohol and confectionary are the most commonly stolen items.
